Welcome to the The Filmmaker's Playbook, hosted by writer-director Jason Branagan.
My guest today is actor Elva Trill. Since we recorded this episode Elva has been nominated for a Best Actress IFTA (TV Drama) for her performance as Áine in Stephen Jones’ 'Northern Lights'. Some of Elva’s other credits include 'Red Rock', 'Line of Duty' and 'Jurassic World Dominion'.
In our conversation we discuss how Elva got started in the industry, being a stand in for Sarah Bolger on 'The Tudors' as a teenager, training in The Factory (which is now Bow Street Academy), using music and colour to help her guide her performance as Áine in Northern Lights, experiencing an emotional freeze after wrapping the show and much more.
The purpose of this podcast is to give a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the filmmaking process and to make information about filmmaking accessible to everyone, so whether you're a casual film fan, an aspiring filmmaker, or a seasoned pro, I hope you enjoy today's episode and learn something interesting in the process.
